Description:
OpenFrameworks Workshop
The workshop introduced newcomers as well as intermediate programmers to the potential of C++ library designed to assist the creative process by providing a simple and intuitive framework for experimentation in the field of audio-visual interaction. OpenFrameworks is indebted to two significant precursors: the Processing development environment, created by Casey Reas, Ben Fry and the Processing community; and the ACU Toolkit, a privately distributed C++ library developed by Ben Fry and others in the MIT Media LabĀ¹s Aesthetics and Computation Group.
Objective:
Create a practical workshop for artist programmers thus enabling them to tackle the practical aspects of interactive programming both in a local and network context.
Results:
In this context Pierre Proske discussed his interactive artworks and current involvement within CO-ME-DI-A networked performance initiative.
