Place/Dates: SARC: 9-11 March & 11-12 June 2010

Description:

Presentation Aspects of Network Performance.

Two workshops dedicated to presentation and audio aspects of network performance were organized. The presentation workshop took place 9-11 March, the audio on 11-12 June (see below).

Objective:

The workshops aimed to collectively devise network dramaturgies, develop models for performance and agree on technical infrastructure required to implement the models.

Results:

Development of Audio and Visual strategies for implementation of the events during the CO-ME-DI-A artistic showcase events in November 2010. The workshops provided an opportunity to develop new presentation models for network performance. These have been discussed and presented in a wide variety of contexts: 1) Paper presentation at the International Conference of the IMS Study Group “Music and Media” with Felipe Hickmann on “Audiovisual strategies for rendering presence in networked music performance” Berlin 25–27 June, 2010 Humboldt University Berlin. 2) Presentation by Pedro Rebelo and Franziska Schroeder at EIMAS, Brazil (September 2010).
